October Continues the Trend

October-2

Okay guys, I have some pretty good news. First, in my September recap post I  said I wanted to try to post every day of October. I did it! There were a few days on which I almost didn’t post for whatever reason, but I always did. I’ve now posted each day since September 29. That’s a lot of bookish posts with some poems mixed in along the way. Now let me get into the stats for the month. The previous record will be in parenthesis.

Posts: 31 (26) New Record! Obviously, considering I’ve never tried posting everyday.

Likes: 547 (584) This is just not an easy number to reach.

Followers: 1866 Rather than saying how many I added this month, I’ve decided to just put the total number from now on.

I don’t have the number of comments because I sparingly replied to comments this month. So I have a million that are still pending. I’m going to go back and read them all and I’ll reply if I catch a few that were really good. But mostly, I’ll just be approving the comments and moving on.

Some more good news. The trend that the title of this post is referring to is that it appears I’m back on the right track. I have a number in mind in terms of site views that I try to reach each month that I hadn’t reached since June, until October. It ended up being the second best month of the year. And by far the best month in terms of unique visitors. Both good signs. Now for posts.

Well look at that! My top post for the entire month was a poem I wrote! I am under no impression that I write some enlightened poetry, but I think that’s kind of cool. Actually, the second best post of the month was Do you Read Poetry?. So my top two posts were about poetry. Woo to that!

Last thing, I’ve got a question for you all. I kind of like this posting everyday thing. But what do you think about the weekdays being about books, writing, and all that stuff and Saturday and Sundays being about other things? This would essentially end my Saturday Selects series of posts. I know from experience that you guys read my non-bookish posts less than my regular ones, but it’s just a thought. Or maybe I can post poems on the weekends? Tell me what you think and about your October.

  1. I’m a writer, busy writing, so I like the idea of writing and book stuff five days a week. I liked the poetry stuff, too. It’s okay with me if you want to write about other things on the weekends.
