Saturday Selects is a series of posts I write on the first Saturday of each month about topics different from the overall bookish theme of the blog.
I’m boring. I tell people all the time. But I don’t think anyone should really feel this way. It’s different when you’re like me and aren’t one to dwell on the opinions of others, but I know that SO many people need the satisfaction of others almost daily. Just check your Twitter TL. So let me tell you why you shouldn’t care what other people think of you.
There’s no such thing as a boring person. It doesn’t matter if you don’t go out every weekend. It doesn’t matter if you’d rather read than do just about anything else. It doesn’t matter if you always say no whenever someone does toss an invite to do something your way. *raises hand*
Boring is what others say when you don’t live your life in the same manner in which they live theirs. It’s called being yourself. And who could really think there’s anything wrong with that? I don’t. And neither should you.

I am a non-stop train of thrills and excitement. I induce heart attacks and childbirth. I have to wear a special cloak to dampen how exciting I am or peple wet themselves as I strut down the street.

Where I’m originally from in Ontario it gets really hot and really humid. Water water everywhere.

Come to Phoenix in July…. 120 and raining, sideways, half water, half dust. Yes, it rains mud here! Whoever said “but it’s a dry heat” didn’t actually live in Arizona. At least not during our monsoon.

Haha oh man. It’s usually around 100° here with plenty of rain. Like a few weeks ago it rained a good week straight. And thevhudity us what really gets people.

Haha I actually thought of it during a text conversation with someone who said she’s boring. And I told her that and she had no reaction! I was like…THIS IS THE GREATEST THING I’VE EVER SAID. She didn’t think it was all that. 😔
